Czech. Glass Salesman's Card
Salesman’s cards were sturdy display boards (often cardboard) used from the mid-1800s through the early 1900s to present buttons in an organized, attractive way. Each card held a set of buttons—sometimes stitched on, sometimes wired—arranged by style, size, or material.
Traveling salesmen would carry these cards from town to town, showing them to shopkeepers, dressmakers, and dry goods stores.
