Perfume Button Bracelet - 1860's Civil War Era

Authentic 1860’s French perfume button. Perfume buttons have an underlay of fabric with a pierced, ornate overlay. During the Civil war period, the women would dab their oil based perfumes on their fabric buttons. Their buttons were given to loved ones as they went off to war as a reminder of them.

This exquisite button is larger than most. It is 3/4" and has the most beautiful burgundy velvet peeking through the flowers. It sits perfectly on top of the wrist. A triple layer of chain with burgundy beaded chain compliment the button.
