1880's Floral Paris Button Long Necklace

This detailed 1880's Parisian button showcases a beautiful flower grouping. Purple and soft pink glass beads complement it perfectly. A hand clasp holds this special button pendant. This size of a  button would have been on a cloak or shawl in the Victorian times.  In the Victorian era, the study and practice of assigning symbolic meaning to flowers was called floriography.
