Perfume Button Necklcae - 1860's Civil War Era
Authentic 1860’s French perfume button. Perfume buttons have an underlay of fabric with a pierced, ornate overlay. During the Civil war period, the women would dab their oil based perfumes on their fabric buttons. Their buttons were given to loved ones as they went off to war as a reminder of them.
A dark teal velvet liner is behind the dainty abstract design on this perfume button. It is highlighted with an 1920's iridescent mother of pearl button. Perfect for every day wear.
