1930's French Watch Fob - Long Necklace

A 1930's watch fob is the focal point on this long necklace. Amethyst glass is layered in the links and the detailed watch fob adding the perfect touch. Antique silver finish double layered chains and tassel are vintage 1930's.  Until the development of the wristwatch, most watches were designed to be carried in the pocket. The classic way to wear a pocket watch is at the end of a chain in your waistcoat pocket. The fob anchored the watch in place.
